Condolence: Roger was a well spirited fellow and will be missed my many. I played hockey with Roger in the Church hockey league, for many years. Those were the 'good ole days of hockey'. I also remember him well from church events at St. Thomas a Becket. It was fascinating to see him so engaged and happy with his post retirement woodworking passion. I had the chance to play golf with him only a few years ago... didn't know that he'd moved from Montreal. His family has my whole-hearted sympathy and love.

Condolence: Over the years I was fortunate to meet Roger through hockey(CHURCH LEAGUE),Golf,Curling and Crib. A really good competitive friend and never, never a dull moment. A very memorable moment. Playing with Roger at Ste Adele Golf Club on the 2nd hole, a 257 yard par 4. He hit his ball to the back of the green. There were 4 players on the green and luckily they were part of our Golf Group, THE SENIOR BOYS OF SUMMER. Of course Roger apologized, but deep down I thought he was darn proud. It was his best shot of the day. It was always fun and generally a memorable occasion to play with him. On day 1 of his moving to Kingston the Group missed him. My sincere condolences to all Roger and Anne's Family. On behalf of The SENIOR BOYS OF SUMMER GOLF GROUP

Condolence: To the Rivet family, "Most people walk in and out of your life, but only friends leave footprints in your heart." Both Roger (and Anne) were such kind and loving friends. So sorry about Anne. Roger cut very many beautiful pieces of wood for me (and MADP Guild) and could figure out any design. He had such a wonderful sense of humour. My deepest condolences for a life well lived and well loved. May Roger rest in peace. May your wonderful memories help ease your pain at this time. God grant you peace. Johann Law, Beaconsfield, Qc.

Condolence: Dear Anne and the family of Roger. You do not know me but I have known Anne and Roger for many years. I was very involved in decorative painting and ordered many beautiful surfaces from Roger. Often, I spent extra time looking over all the pieces that he was turning out and then got stuck in traffic heading back to the city! He was always so pleasant and helpful and I still have many, many items which I treasure. Quite a few were sold and now many others are enjoying them as well. My sincere condolences to all of you. I know he will be sadly missed. I often think of him when looking through all my art 'stuff'. Anne, you always had painting tips and stories for me. I truly wish you all the best. Sincerely, Gloria Sternthal
