Ralph Maurice  Porter
Porter; Ralph Maurice - Passed away peacefully at the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital on Friday, June 15, 2018 in his 85th year. Predeceased by his cherished wife Denise (nee Fontaine) and survived by his current loving wife Barbara (nee Rose). Loving father of Norm Porter (Teresa) of Brampton, Steven Porter of Mississauga, Cheryl Porter of Mississauga, Michelle Porter of Napanee and Suzanne Porter of Rexdale. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Marina, Alexander, Sheila, Julie, Michel, Jesse, Melissa, Derrick, Matthew, Kennedy and Kyle and great grandchildren Keyona, Makayla and D'andre. Dear brother of Janet Neilson of Coldbrook, Nova Scotia, Anneliese Marques of Keen, Ontario and Sonia Newcombe of Coldbrook, Nova Scotia. Ralph will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Ralph's career was spent in Public Service of Canada first in the Royal Canadian Air Force, then in the Federal Department of Transport working with aeronautical navigational aids. He was a licensed amateur radio operator and was an enthusiastic listener of jazz music, especially the saxophone. Having the good fortune to retire early Ralph was able to pursue many avenues of interests and curiosities. Aquamation has already taken place. Memorial Service for Ralph Porter will be held on Wednesday, July 11th 2018 at 12 PM. Location is the Meadowvale Cemetery, 7732 Mavis Road Brampton.
