Obituary for Francis Loyola "Frank" Evans

Francis Loyola Evans, June 10 1935 – April 22 2017

Died at John M Parrott Center, Napanee, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Moscow Ontario, Francis was the son of James and Catherine Evans; pre-deceased by his wife Julia Marie Evans (Lynett); Father of Mary Jane Clelland (Gavin), Christie Ann Evans (Randy), and John Paul Evans (Trudy); and Grandfather of Riley and Regan Evans. Frank was an educator for 35 years; he was a Teacher, Vice-Principal, and Principal at St. Peter’s (Trenton) from 1955 to 1984, and Principal at St. Mary’s (Trenton) for 6 years until his retirement in 1990. He dedicated many years to OECTA in various roles supporting his fellow teachers. Francis is survived by his sister Mary Huffman and brother Bill Evans. He was predeceased by sisters Beatrice Dillon, Helen Forster, infant Theresa, and brothers John, Hugh, Bernard, James, and Ed. He will be fondly remembered by his Sisters in Law Margaret Evans, Rita Evans, and Jane Lynett. The family is grateful for the love and care Frank received from everyone at the John M Parrot Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Centreville on Wednesday April 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements in the care of Wartman Funeral Home "Napanee Chapel". Francis requested that no flowers be sent, but donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation would be appreciated.
