Peacefully, at the Fairmount Home with loved one's by her side on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Fred Easter. Loving mother of Debra Easter (Sandra Brooks), Karen Jones (Mark), Terrie Easter-Sheen and Mark (Toni). Caring Nanny of Brett (Meri), Jill (Kyle), Trevor (Gina), Ryan (Devon), Van (Autumn), Brock (Kacey), Sterling (Natasha), Mara (Brandon), Eric and Emma. Sadly missed by her 8 great grandchildren. Special sons-in-love Don Christie and Bruce Sheen. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Joan is predeceased by her parents Alvanley and Lena, infant daughter Gloria, and her 12 siblings. A special thank you to The Waterford and Fairmount Home staff for their compassionate care towards Joan. The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home "Kingston Chapel" (980 Collins Bay Rd, Kingston) on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 1- 2:30 p.m. Funeral Service to follow in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Interment to follow service at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. Reception will follow interment back at the Wartman Funeral Home Reception Centre. As expressions of sympathy, donations by cheque to the U.H.K.F Cancer Centre or Fairmount Home would be appreciated by the family.
