Maracle; Irene Frances (nee Gerdis) - Peacefully at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital in Napanee with her children at her side on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at age 79. Beloved wife of the late Joe Maracle. Loving mother of Brad (Roxanne), Chris (Andrea), Cheryl, and Tracey Maracle-York (Steven). Predeceased by her son Brian. Very proud grandmother of Jessica Chandler (Mark), Brandon, Brody and great grandmother of Hadley and Etta Chandler. Dear sister of William Gerdis and the late Gwen Dundon and Sheila Nevin. Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Ila Maracle along with many nieces and nephews and their families. The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home "Napanee Chapel" on Sunday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Patrick's Catholic Church (179 West St., Napanee) on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery. Donations to L&A Hospital (Palliative Care Unit) or the (Chemotherapy Unit) or Seniors Outreach Services would be appreciated in memory of Irene. (Donations by cheque or credit card please).
