Mackie; Alexander Harvey; World War II Veteran - In his 99th year, passed away peacefully at West Lake Terrace Nursing Home on Saturday, August 23, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Florence (Holland) and loved step-dad of Yvonne Thompson (Ward) of Napanee, Roger Holland (Faye) of Napanee, Donna Scott (Don) of Orono and the late Shirley Humberstone. Step-grandfather of Teresa Banks, Angela Robinson (Phil Limlaw), Andrew Scott (Maria), Kevin Scott (Cathy), Susan Patterson (Dan) and Tyler Holland. Great grandfather of Christopher Lamson (Cheryl), Shauna Banks (Brandon Shephard), Ceira Banks, Skylar Banks, Nicholas Robinson, Claire Scott, Penelope Patterson and Dawson Patterson and great great grandpa of Justin Lamson, Quinn Lamson and Lily Shephard. Son of the late George & Emily Mackie of Niagara Falls. Dear brother of Doris McLeod and Jean Lockhart, both of Niagara Falls and predeceased by his sisters Jessie, Beatrice and Ruth. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and their families. The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home "Napanee Chapel" on Wednesday, August 27 from 12 - 1 p.m. Funeral Service to follow in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Interment Newburgh Cemetery.
